17:2071 Academy of the Holy Angels
The Congregation of the Sisters Marianites of Holy Cross, conducting the Academy of the Holy Angels, a religious institution for the education of young ladies, situated in the Parish of Orleans, and recognized as a body corporate, and entitled to the enjoyment and exercise of all the rights, duties and privileges appertaining to civil corporations, has the authority to graduate students and to confer such literary honors and degrees and to grant such diplomas as are conferred and granted by any colleges, universities or seminaries of learning in the United States and Europe, to graduates of the institution, or other persons, as may be provided for under such rules and regulations, and over the signatures of such persons as the said corporation may adopt.
